Reflexology

Reflexology is an alternative (complementary) practice centered around applying varying amounts of pressure to a person’s feet, hands and ears. The theory behind reflexology is that there are points on these body parts that correspond with organs and other body systems and putting pressure on them supports healing & balance in the body.

WHAT IS A REFLEXOLOGY SESSION LIKE?

The session takes place while the client is laying on a massage-like table. Colene will relax the feet through flexing and similar motions and use methods somewhat similar to acupressure, starting at the tips of the toes and down to the heels on top and bottom of the feet.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS INCLUDE:

  • Relaxation + stress/anxiety reduction

  • Pain management

  • Improvement in general well-being

  • Boosted immune system

  • Hormone balance + increased fertility

KST (Koren Specific Technique)

KST is a gentle (but powerful) technique that is used to improve body function by locating and addressing dislocations caused by physical, chemical or emotional stress & trauma that need attention & correction. The ArthroStim introduces information to these specific areas of the body to realign segments and reduce nerve compression at a speed of 12 "taps" per second (12 hertz), which allows for a fast, low force and controlled adjustment.

3 Easy Steps:

  • Challenging - analyzing the body for stresses

  • Checking - revealing where nerve signaling impairments are located

  • Correcting - using the ArthroStim to make corrections while sitting, standing or moving

Myofascial Release Therapy

During an MFR session, sustained pressure is used on areas of connective tissue (fascia) that surround your muscles and bones. This pressure is meant to release the restriction in the connective tissue so that you have greater range of motion and less pain.

Benefits include:

  • Improve your range of motion

  • Reduce soreness & support tissue recovery process

  • Improve circulation

  • Release tension, stiffness & knots

  • Promote relaxation + stress relief

Positional Release Therapy

PRT is a gentle, hands-on technique that utilizes manual manipulation of the tissues to correct imbalances throughout the body. It's centered around promoting relief from pain & discomfort, as well as increased strength, athletic performance, muscular function and range of motion. PRT is suitable for all ages and most pain points & conditions. Sessions are typically 30-50 mins.

Reiki + Energy Work

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique in which practitioners place their hands above certain areas on the body to promote a healthy flow of energy throughout the body. The word reiki comes from Japanese rei (universal/God consciousness) and ki (vital life force energy). Reiki is to be viewed as a complementary treatment to mainstream medicine, not a substitute for it.

What to expect during a reiki session:

Reiki practitioners act as a conduit of life force energy for their clients, meaning that this energy flows through them and into their client to support what that person ‘needs’ during their session. Reiki is about trusting that this energy knows exactly what it is doing and knows where to go to help the body heal itself.

Potential Benefits Include:

  • Reduces stress & anxiety

  • Improves sleep

  • Relieves pain & tension

  • Supports relaxation

  • Promotes self-healing

  • Stimulates immune system

Celluma LED Light Therapy

LED infrared light therapy is a gentle (but effective) treatment option that penetrates the skin to target muscle & joint pain, providing relief from inflammation, arthritis and other injuries.

Infrared therapy utilizes wavelengths that increase circulation, promote tissue repair & relieve muscle pain. The Celluma device also bends, flexes & contours as close to the skin’s surface as possible, allowing cells to absorb the optimal amount of light energy for pain relief.

Ion Foot Detox Bath:

During an ionic foot detox, an ionizing machine gives the hydrogen in the water a positive charge, attracting negatively charged toxins (e.g. heavy metals) in your body and removing them through your feet.

People of any age, gender and background can greatly benefit from this gentle detox. Sessions are typically 30 minutes long and can be a great way to relax & cleanse your body.
